The 2018 Big Buzz Chainsaw Carving Festival October 4th -8th! Chainsaw Carvers from across the country and around the world join together at Jackson Gore Resort Ice House (at Okemo Mountain) to carve Columbus Day Weekend. A great chance to watch artists in their natural environment, get inspired to create your own sculptures, purchase a new piece or simply walk around and enjoy the art! Artists will be milling about, looking to talk with families or show you their latest work. Food trucks will be on site, and be sure not to miss the ever popular Quick Carves and evening Fire Sculptures! Quick Carves will be held Friday through Sunday starting at 1pm. Saturday will have TWO - one at the Ice House and one in the courtyard of the Jackson Gore Resort. Following the Quick Carve Competitions is the Auction! Saturday night will keep you out after dark wanting to see how the Fire Sculptures burn out. Each one with its own unique rhythm, no two are alike! The festival is fun for all ages. Come enjoy the Fall foliage while getting a glimpse into the world of chainsaw carvers!
