The 9th Annual Quahog Day (2017) is hosted by the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce to announce the number of beach days that lie ahead. In what has become an annual tradition and a rite of passage into summer for CApea Codders, the region's official Quahog - Doug- tells us how many days of beach weather we have to look forward to for the summer. During his "prognostication Ceremony" Doug secretly whispers his prediciton into the ear of his human sidekick, Captain Johnny Quahog of the Quahog Republic. The event is hosted in a different seaside location each year - but is always held on the first day of summer! In 2017, NBC Boston meteorologist Michael Page will host the festivities. Complimentary food and beverage, and a cash bar, will be available along with other entertainment.
